Telehealth Profit Calculator
Model a cash-pay subscription telehealth brand month by month. Put in your own quotes from your pharmacy, clinician network and platform. The defaults are only an example.
Net profit by month
After product, clinician, processing, acquisition and fixed costs. Blue is profit, grey is loss.
How the model works
Each month adds your new patients, and churn removes a share of the patients you had at the start of the month. Revenue is active patients times the monthly price. Variable costs are medication, pharmacy and shipping, clinician fees and payment processing, all per active patient. Acquisition cost is new patients times CAC. Fixed costs are charged every month.
- Contribution per patient-month = price − product costs − clinician fees − processing.
- Average patient lifetime ≈ 1 ÷ monthly churn (15% churn ≈ 6.7 months).
- Lifetime value (LTV) = contribution per patient-month × lifetime.
- Payback = CAC ÷ contribution per patient-month: how many months a patient must stay before they cover the cost of acquiring them.
- Steady state: with constant new patients and churn, active patients level off at new patients ÷ churn.
The model leaves out taxes, refunds and chargebacks, launch costs and price changes, so treat it as a planning sketch. The lever that matters most is usually churn: halving it roughly doubles lifetime value without spending more on ads.
